Cowl leader on CN 401. CN 401 has a cowl leader (CN 2444) along with CN 8002, CN 7275 & CN 218 as it passes through Montreal West on a gorgeous and warm afternoon.

Through a short tunnel and an s-curve. A much shorter than usual CN 401 from Joffre has a single ES44DC (CN 2299) snaking through Montreal West on the transfer track of CN's Montreal sub.

Thick snow falling. CN 401 has CN 8917 & CN 2407 for power and 104 cars as it approaches Turcot West in Montreal on a snowy afternoon.

A nice elephant style lashup. Zebra-striped CN 5510 leads CN 401 through Montreal West. Trailing elephant style are CN 2554 and CN 9639.

Roaring by at 60 MPH. CN 2663 & CN 2538 roar by on the single track CN Drummondville sub with CN 401 in tow. The next detector would say the train had 598 axles and was doing a cool 60 mph.... (more)
