Preparations for the day's activities are being made at the Cass shops. A Shay is making up the Whittaker train while Heisler #6 is readied for the long trip to Bald Knob.

The steel tire has expanded from the hot fire and with a few hits of a sledge hammer it falls off the wheel and onto the ground.
