Something I didn't think I'd get to see with only 5 days left for the ICE: an IC&E train crossing the Sabula bridge across the Mississippi.

A good ol' steam engine, in this case Canadian Pacific 2816, sits under the Franklin Park water tower as passengers disembark from their journey.

Recently restored Southern 401 returns to the yard to await the later night photo session. It is passing the Nelson's crossing station, the museum's main station.

As Darkness falls, a Chicago-bound Metra heads into Downers Grove Main Street Station as an intermodal thunders by on the middle track.

With a thin fog hanging in the air, a Chicago-bound Metra train heads along Commerce St. and past the relocated Symerton depot.

IC SD40u no 6016(right) and CN SD40-2W no. 5283(left) are on display for Homewood Railroad Days. Here, the assortment of spare knuckles can be seen, as well as other rarely seen equipment.
