BNSF 4963 moves through Drummond on its way east.

Cattle dot the landscape, and wide open spaces of western Montana, as BNSF 4963 moves east into Drummond.

Looking down from one of the curves along Colorado River Road, BNSF 5099 can be seen moving east along the Dotsero Cutoff.

A beautiful area on an equally pretty Spring day, yet this location is a haunting reminder of days gone by. What a welcome sight it would be to see a train rumbling along these tracks once again.

After passing through Greenland, BNSF 6132 heads south toward Palmer Lake.

A gorgeous day for a ride through the Royal Gorge. Incredibly warm temperatures, and bright blue skies make the experience even more enjoyable as we head west away from the Depot.

As seen from the creek below, BNSF 5359 crosses over the old Santa Fe bridge from the north.

Through a small space in an old wooden structure, BNSF 5974 can be seen moving SB along the Joint Line.

Crossing the old Santa Fe bridge in Larkspur, BNSF 9305 makes its way SB into Greenland.

Coming into Palmer Lake I was not expecting to see this, and I only had a second to jump out of the car and snap one or two quick shots.
