After a long day of sightseeing at Arches Nation Park. I slipped out to catch the evening Amtrak number 5 just East of Green River.

It's another beautiful morning in the Price River canyon as Amtrak train 6 is between Colton and Kyune. Locomotives 5 and 117 are the power for the Zephyr today.

The westbound California Zephyrs typically traverse Soldier Summit between 7-9 PM, but this 12-hour late train gave riders a daytime view. On the tail is the Silver Solarium dome observation car.
