Second Train of the morning on EBT's opening day of the 2006 season

The East Broad Top's home-built gas-electric doodlebug M1 still makes an appearance once a year during the Fall Spectacular, seen here at the Enyeart Road crossing on its way back to Orbisonia.

This wood fence replaced a very picturesque white fence (as seen in my brother's shot here: photo ID# 37805.) At least the colorful bush, cast iron crossing sign and steam locomotive remain.

A few railfans check out EBT 2-8-2 15 from the farmer's bridge as it passes underneath, headed back towards Orbisonia.

In a classic scene, EBT 15 pulls the passenger train past this rusting piece of farm equipment.

EBT 17 sits as a static display at the head of a cut of hoppers during the 2006 Fall Spectacular. Thanks to my brother for the lighting.

In 1946, a Woodie gets caught at the Enyeart Rd. crossing by the local passenger train returning from Mt. Union. It could be true, if not for the modern street sign and telephone poles.

This is why the East Broad Top is a trip back in time. Not much in this photo of 15 backing a freight train through the yard says it was taken in 2006 instead of 1946.

Just north of the station the photo freight behind EBT 15 passes by the "EBT Arrow" and another barn/shed to the right.

I'd like to call this one, "The Master and the Apprentice", although that is not technically accurate or true. The engineer and fireman talk to another crewman before another run to Colgate Grove.
