The 1880 Train rolls out of Hill City on its way to Keystone.

The RCPE westbound road freight slowly makes its way west toward Wall and Rapid City across the South Dakota prairie under bluebird skies.

Usually the daily train passes Wall, SD during the night, but due to a derailment the day before, we were able to catch it in the morning.

Almost to it's destination, the local flies through the town of Bath on the final miles to Aberdeen. Nothing like seeing a quad set of BNs on the former Milwaukee Road main.

BHC 108 arrives back at Hill City, SD with its tourist train after a trip to Keystone. The vintage steamer was built in March 1926 for Weyerhaueser Timber.
