The cans pass around the famous horseshoe curve of the Cuesta Grade on a warm June morning.
We're not in Kansas anymore...UP AMPEPR-27 leaves slo with a KCS mac that came into Milpitas earlier this week.
A controlled burn at Camp Roberts gives the Cuesta grade a spooky, smoggy hue to a rather beautiful day. The repo train picture will wait at Chorro siding for AMTK 14 before continuing south.

Empty autos are being held for Amtrak traffic to clear the main before heading south.
Empty autos were held for about half the day until all the Amtraks cleared, then got going around 3:50pm. Here we see the train dashing down the Edna Valley.
