Interesting unit from diesel spotters standpoint. Modern frame would indicate GP-40 but it was in fact a late GP35, built on Alco trucks for GM&O, was on ICG, then a VMV demonstrator, etc. Still... (more)

Obviously of SP heritage this de’turbo’d GP35R is enjoying a somewhat less hectic life.

A former SP or SSW GP35R redone without a turbo and painted up in University of Alabama colors really looks good.

L&C Train 14 drops off two box cars at the old Springs warehouse in Fort Lawn, SC.

L&C Train 14 is bound for the ADM plant in Kershaw. When I caught this train back in 2016, she was being led by a rebuilt GP38M-2 that was later sold by Gulf & Ohio.
