This part of the MKT is abandoned and under concrete as part of the I-10 expansion. Most of the open area is now shopping centers and subdivisions
about 25 miles west of Houston
8013 was (or still yet to be?) the last SP B39-8E to be renumbered and/or repainted by UP. She would visit again over a year later. Photo taken in summer of 2001.
