CN 5347 and 5318 idle in the snow at Hope, BC as a February blizzard shuts down Highway 1 and slows down both CN and CP. The only moving train on CN spotted this day was a work train.
CN 5314 leads a pair of standard SD40s on an eastbound freight headed east from Vancouver, BC to Kamloops. The train is just arriving at Hope, BC ducking under Trans-Canada Hwy 1.
A CN stack train has left the mountains behind and now moves thru the low and slow Fraser River valley on its way to Vancouver.
Note the conductor's foot hanging out the window. Good thing the tunnel had decent clearance!
