After living there in the 70s it seems strange to see GE power as an everyday thing when I returned. Hear a WB prepares to leave and not an EMD in the consist.
Rare even thirty years ago, this old boat has triggered considerable activity among the "foamers" gathered on the great overpass.
These great looking units worked the yard for several years.
I believe this is the only shot I have of a unit attached to an ex-Trainmaster brake trailer.
I'm just guessing this was a recently retired Houston unit but I don't remember seeing it around before or after this shot.
