Two NS units add to the already interesting consist, including an extremely clean Swoosh SD40-2, and a GP60B.

A WAMX ex CN unit is being moved around the shop while some road power waits for the two Geeps to clear. The 6752 barely had any dust on it!

The wildflowers are out in full force near the yard as caboose 11770 awaits its next assignment. BNSF still has a number of them in the metro area for local trains and MOW work.

Davidson Ward gives Milwaukee 261's headlight the once over on the night of May 31. The 4-8-4 pulled 15 cars on a round trip from Minneapolis to Duluth on June 2-3, 2007.

Sitting at the head of one of the storage lines in a sea of green as a SD40-2 works the yard. If you ignore the BNSF stickers it could be a scene from the 80's with all the classic power...

The show is over as the 261 steams north and it is back to work for the CN crew...

Railfans are all awaiting the arrival of the 261 while the WC transfer works the south end of Northtown. Needless to say these guys were virtually ignored in the anticipation of the steam train..... (more)
