A snowless February day with CN's L568, Ranier, MN to Proctor, MN, traveling track speed near m.p. 51 on the CN Missabe Sub.

After a set-out and pick-up at CN's Keenan yard, L568 is heading for CN's Proctor yard.

A pair of AC44C6Ms sandwich a pair of SD60s on L568 heading down to Proctor yard after departing Keenan yard a short time ago.

Usually running nocturnal on the trip from Ranier, MN down to Proctor, MN, it was odd to see L568 heading south out of Keenan yard as the sun was setting.

DMIR 402, DMIR 409, CN 3325, CN 2309, CN 2241, CN 3326 and DMIR 400 with a string of Herzog ballast cars and mixed freight from Ranier, MN and CN's Keenan yard now make their way south at Fairlane... (more)

As the sun sets, DMIR 402 is leading L568 with 7 locomotives, a Herzog ballast train and the usual mixed freight on the tail end as they make their way to Proctor yard.

Heading down to Proctor yard with freight from Ranier, MN and then stopping at Keenan yard to pick up some more cars and two GEs from the ore pool.

A light fog still hangs in the early morning air as the sun catches the nose of L568 rounding the curve.
