A cold night air fell over Otego with the sun setting fast and the full moon was shining bright over the valley as the 11R came rumbling south through town.

NS train 11R sits in the siding in Oneonta on a snowy morning. The train is awaiting a fresh crew after the lead unit died the previous evening.

The sun had just set revealing the cotton candy colored sky with just enough light for the 11R cruising southbound taking down CPF-499 ending a beautiful August day.

11R cruises over the scenic Hoosic River in North Adams. The train will briefly enter Vermont in a few miles before passing into New York State and a crossing of the Hudson River north of Albany.

While grabbing shots of the RJED at East Glenville, the 11R came out from behind and started crusing south, finally caught up here at the Princetown Rd. overpass.
