CSX Q376 rolls past one of the many entrances to the C&O Canal. To the bottom left you can see an old gate house and lock that was used to raise canal boats.

As darkness closes in, a MARC commuter train rushes into Catoctin Tunnel hurrying towards it's next stop, Brunswick. Catoctin Tunnel, built by the B&O Railroad, was completed in 1903.
After just passing through the High Rock signals, this MARC commuter train rounds the bend that leads to the east portal of the Catoctin Tunnel. "Next stop, Brunswick......"
