Nearly 5 hours late, the sun shines on the Empire Builder. Would the negative double digit temps have anything to do with this (only -8 at this time)?

Due to trackwork on the Empire Builder's normal route on the CP across Wisconsin, #8 is detouring via the BNSF across northern Illinois.
