283 makes an unusual move pulling into the Greenville yard to tie down, seemingly for the holiday weekend based on scanner chatter.

Passing Through. The daily pig/mixed freight from Atlanta passes through town on its way to the Port in Charleston, SC. On this day, NS 242 was just ahead of a military train.

One of my favorite spots to shoot the L&C is on their original line near where Williams Estate Road and Jenna Lane meet. Long trains snake up the line behind the power toward Memorial Park Road.

During the RailAmerica-era on the South Carolina Central Railroad, they rostered two former Grand Trunk Western units, one of which I caught in 2010 working the yard in Darlington County.

A CSX local crew crosses Assembly to get back to the Eastover Sub. There is no car traffic between me and the train because a freight is still blocking the crossing behind me. Thanks, guys!
