It is a beautiful fall morning in Gallitzin, Pennsylvania as NS 4459 and NS 9552 lead an eastbound manifest train up track 3 under the Jackson Street Overpass and towards the Gallitzin tunnel.
Norfolk Southern 7247 and 7249 are running west on track 2 towards Cresson and then down the mountain in order to tie on to another heavy eastbound train and help it up the mountain.
I am not a fan of graffiti on railcars, but this one was rather unusual. LCGX 326, owned by Lincoln Grain, rolls west out of the tunnel and past The Tunnel Inn located in Gallitzin, Pennsylvania.... (more)
