Yeah, it's BNSF, but it doesn't say so and it on the Gulf Coast, where it shouldn't be, which is neat. This one used to be in "Kodachrome", see elsewhere on this site.

Back with Burlington Northern was a transcon this for Frisco unit was in the engine facility. They were common there after the merger.

With a thunderstorm about to arrive CSX 7577 leads its train into Pensacola.

The eastbound Sunset Limited makes a station stop at Pensacola.

This is the after picture. See 262419. Turntable failed and the good old railroad ingenuity kicked in. It's not an armstrong table but a "forklift strong" turntable.

The before shot. This gentleman was kind enough to spot units for me several times. Today he's started turned this ex-SLSF unit on the turntable.

I think there were only two on these both on BN and actually "decabbed" not built as such.

At the furthest extent of the far-flung BN network these units are local power. This is now a shortline operation.
