Illinois Railway Museum's Chicago, Aurora & Elgin interurbans roll past the East Union depot and CB&Q 9911A. These cars, built by the Hicks Car Works, celebrated their 100th anniversary in 2018.

Amtrak AEM-7 945 sits on display at Yard 5 at IRM. Although AEM-7s are not exactly units you could find in Illinois, it's nice to see one saved.

The Rock Island 4506, recently refurbished by IRM, sits at the west end of the station tracks posed in front of the old EJ&E Spaulding tower after sunset.

During this year's Showcase weekend, the CB&Q 993 was added to the Nebraska Zephyr's consist. The 993 is a baggage car built in 1951 by the CB&Q Havelock shops. Here the CB&Q 9911-A (EMC E5A) lead... (more)
