Battling the steep grades of the former Erie, the only operating FPA's east of Ohio dig in and prepare to duck under the former grade of the original Erie main line.

Returning to Roanoke with the third and final Radford excursion of 2015, I caught this pan shot of 611 across a field.

Pounding up the grade she was designed and built to conquer, the Spirit of Roanoke leads the Powhatan Arrow eastbound, approaching Blue Ridge Summit.
