It was rare to see the Santa Fe SD39's near Chicago, but they did show up once in a while. Here's one rolling through McCook, Illinois with a GE U33C behind.

Working customers on the northeast side of town, this crew has run out of time, and is waiting for a van to take them back to Cherokee Yard. Their locomotive was delivered to AT&SF in June 1969.
