Amtrak train 991, the "Rail Revival Tour", slowly glides over the CSX (ex-ACL/RF&P) James River Bridge as it approaches downtown Richmond, Virginia to deliver the band "Mumford & Sons" along with their musical cohorts to the 3rd concert on their "Rail Revival Tour".
The "Railroad Revival Tour" ran in 2011 with Mumford & Sons and friends, performing in 6 different cities, from San Francisco to New Orleans. They documented their trip along the way, playing Folk Rock and Americana music in the film “Big Easy Express”. Fast forward 14 years and they are completing the second leg of their journey using similar vintage passenger rail cars with Amtrak motive power, running from New Orleans all the way to Burlington, VT, stopping in Simpsonville and Richmond for concerts on their journey - and as we all know, it's not about the destination, it's about the journey.
