Conductor Ted Nicholson gives an enthusiastic wave as he and engineer Josh Kramer head for Oregon to service Lycon. Both Ted and Josh transferred up to the Fox Valley & Lake Superior Rail System when Watco started operating that railroad back in 2021. They're both engineers based out of Wausau currently. As for the 3947, it left the WSOR in 2023, and has since been assigned to the Decatur & Eastern Illinois Railroad. While the rails keep humming with activity, change is always a constant on the railroad, whether it be the people moving the freight, or the equipment traversing the tracks.
