2025 In Review Two big developments in New England passenger railroading in 2025 have been the NextGen Acela trainsets and MBTA's heritage units. Here we see them both. On the left, an apparent holiday party for MBTA executives, in other words, a round-trip Office Car Special to Rhode Island, scoots through Back Bay with B&M heritage F40 #1030 in the lead. To the left, a NextGen Acela departs for points west.
