Past, Present, and Future.
Three generations of Metro-North power was on display at New Haven Yard on October 4, 2025. New York, New Haven & Hartford (NH) FL9 no. 2006 (EMD, 1957) - which was brought down from the Danbury Railroad Museum (DRM) for the event - represents the railroad's diesel power shortly after assuming operation from Conrail. The P32AC-DM fleet, represented by locomotive no. 222 (GE Genesis, 2001) in its New Haven Railroad heritage scheme, represents the first generation of diesel locomotives purchased by the railroad. The newest addition to the fleet is the SC42-DM, represented by locomotive no. 303 (Siemens Charger, 2024), which will eventually replace the P32 fleet and lead the railroad forward into the future!
