The CXRG Walsenburg Turn is heading west back to Alamosa, running later than usual after waiting several hours for the Union Pacific to deliver their traffic at Walsenburg. The delay worked in our favor, allowing clouds and scattered showers to drift out of the Sangre de Cristo foothills. Here, the train has just crossed County Road 3421, a few miles west of Walsenburg, with the lingering cloud cover to the east providing a picturesque backdrop. It is worth noting that the train now includes a UP ES44AC, which is dead in tow heading to Alamosa for high altitude testing.
