Remarks & Notes

Redemption After CSX's merger with Pan Am Railways in 2022, a batch of ex-QNSL SD40-2s were inherited and promptly placed into storage. For some reason, in the summer of 2025, 3401 was reactivated and sent to Worcester, MA, where it sat for a few days before being sent back to the storage lines.
