Remarks & Notes |
Stadler "Eurodual" locomotive (electric and diesel drive) 2159 # 228 of the ELP (European Loc Pool), rented to the Leipziger Eisenbahngesellschaft (LEG), in the "Verbio" paint scheme, crosses the huge Göltzschtal viaduct between Reichenbach (Vogtl.) ob Bf and Netschkau with a tank car train. The doubletrack Göltzschtal viaduct on the Sachsen mainline between Hof and Leipzig/Dresden was built from 1846 to 1851 and is the world's largest brick-built viaduct, with a length of 574 meter and a maximum height of 78 meter. More then 26 mio of bricks were needed for the 4 levels, and the uppermost level has 29 arches. |
