Hard to believe it's been almost thirty-five years since this happened however on this day the Independence Limited was about to make a photo run by at Lexington. This train was NS's participation in the 1990 NRHS convention held that year in St. Louis. This was a Sunday and the train would travel to Louisville before the next day traveling through southern Indiana and Illinois to St. Louis.
