My great, great uncle Robert F. McKee, Sr., was a design engineer at Baldwin and he would give my father different Baldwin Locomotive Works builder's cards when my father would visit him in Collingswood, New Jersey. Here is a beautiful 4-8-4 built for the Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad, number 1804. It had a tractive force of 67,200 lbs., and a combined engine and tender weight in working order of 479,360 lbs. On my Dad's list of all his Baldwin cards, he marked this engine as one of his favorites. This Baldwin Locomotive Works builders photo specification card is from the John R. Doughty collection.
