Remarks & Notes
It’s snowing lightly, but the real weather problem is heavy fog at Coal Creek Canyon between Eisele and Plainview, Colorado, on the morning of January 30, 2005. The crossing gate bells ring and gates lower, but the train is nowhere to be seen at Blue Mountain grade crossing, as searing headlights from an eastbound Union Pacific coal load finally reveals a train.
