Re 420 # 290 and Re 620 # 076 "Zurzach" of the SBB in multiple control, also called "Re 10/10", are pulling the loaded excavation train 67654 from Ambri-Piotta to Flüelen over the Gotthard mountain line, crossing the 70 meter high and 122 meter long middle Meienreuss bridge at Wassen. Above the second locomotive, you can see the upper Meienreuss bridge, which was crossed by the train about 1 minute before in the opposite direction. The train is transporting about 900 ton (trainload is 1350 ton) excavation material in Fans-u cars from a new built water storage basin for the converted Ritom hydro power plant in Ambri, to Flüelen, from where the material is going by barge over the Vierwaldstättersee to the Alpnachersee for a renaturation project.
