Gotthard express train electrolocomotive Be 4/7 # 12504 of SBB Historic was built in a series of 6 by the SLM and SAAS in 1922 with a Westinghouse drive on 4 axles and a power of 1770 kW. These locomotives ran on the Gotthard line between 1923 and 1932, then replaced by the Ae 4/7. The "Secherons" were then used in the western part of Switzerland mainly, from Bern depot. The # 12504 was declared historic locomotive in 1976 and based in Biel, today it is based in Olten. This day it was exhibited in Biasca on the occasion of the 125 years of the Gotthard line. |
