| One of the Kennecott Copper high cab GP39-2, that now wears the paint scheme of contractor railway Omaha track 3901. Pulls out of the Garfield yard after interchanging cars with the Union Pacific. A Union Pacific eastbound happens to be passing as the Kennecott train pulls out of the Garfield yard. And heads back over to the Kennecott smelter. Kennecott Copper is a fascinating railway. But is very tough to photograph. Most of the operation is behind gates. If you make a wrong move, you will get a not so nice visit from security. Omaha Track 3901 was formerly KCC 707. |
