BNSF’s Cowley turn departs Himes, Wyoming, and is entering short-but-scenic Himes Canyon as it heads northbound along the Bighorn River on the morning of June 25, 2018. The locomotives and first few cars are negotiating what is reportedly the sharpest mainline curve on the BNSF, with the rear of the local visible above still rolling out of Himes. The local operates out of Greybull and has EMD SD70MAC Nos. 9709 and 9878 for power this particular week.
