A dog peers up the steps of a locomotive in a consist of a outbound train waiting for a crew to go west over Mullan Pass at Helena, Montana, on February 7, 1997. He was persistent, going from locomotive to locomotive in front of the depot, looking for someone. Maybe he gets an occasional handout from Montana Rail Link crews—or possibly his master is a railroader—or perhaps both.
