It's been a very wet winter in southern California, and February 18, 2019, was supposed to be clear and dry. But as Amtrak Pacific Surfliner 579 headed through CP Maple, in the city of Orange, dark clouds had moved in and rain drops were starting to fall. Fortunately, the snow on the San Gabriel Mountains was still visible. The six car Pacific Surfliner, with SC-44 2113 shoving on the rear, is on schedule as it heads from San Diego to Los Angeles.
