I grew up on the Western Railway of Alabama, where a local was generally a geep and a couple dozen cars, so when the Illmo agent told me the local would be pulling into the yard in a few minutes, I did not expect three tunnel motors and a big train, but that is what I got on my first visit to the SP/SSW system.
