Remarks & Notes
About a half hour after departing the city of Denver seen looming above the plains in the background, Amtrak No. 5, the California Zephyr, sweeps around “Little 10 Curve” at Rocky, Colorado. Running about ten hours late, Phase III Heritage No. 145 leads the tardy westbound train at 6:40 p.m. on June 25, 2011.
