| Nearly two decades have passed since the last freight train rumbled through this passage and polished the rails at the continental divide. Today the famous Tennessee Pass tunnel lies dormant with no signs of life except local graffiti work. The chilly cold air flowing through this landmark of the Rio Grande is the only movement to be felt these days. While illumination is present in this photo, there doesn't appear to be a "light at the end of the tunnel" for this line coming back anytime soon. |
