A work train with gons loaded with new ties awaits permission to depart the siding and place ties along the ROW for maintenance crews. This Friday the 13th was unlucky for this crew as they would have a long wait to access the main. It was at this location that the first SA&O train arrived in the Gap in 1890. For many years, the Big Stone Gap station occupied this area.
