Remarks & Notes

Amtrak's Pennsylvanian "crosses" Irishtown Road in the heart of Amish Country. In order to accommodate higher speed trains, the Keystone Corridor's three remaining grade crossings were eliminated several years ago. The Irishtown Road met its end in 2013 - 1.5 miles of new roads were constructed on both sides of the tracks to bypass the crossing.
