| 7092 hauls train 126 from Westfield to Whangarei through rugged countryside between Helensville and Wellsford. The train is approaching the unstable Makerau tunnel which has a severe speed restriction of about 10 miles p/h and profile restricts high cube containers to well wagons! Reported to lose c. $2 million a year, the line is under threat of closure. |
