| Conrail Blue E-44 #4423 leads E-44 #4430 and EMD GM10B #4976 on a freight entering the Northeast Corridor at Lane Tower. In the background, an Amtrak train can be seen that has just passed over this freight on the flyover. The Amtrak train is shown in Photo ID: 374945. This scene was probably repeated many times in the 1960's and 1970s, but the Amtrak GG1s would be retired later in 1980 and Conrail would end all its electric operations in 1981. |
