| Not much life in the late summer months along the Cajon. What normally would be flowers in the Pacific Northwest are simply dead and dry shafts dotting the desert. With a fire a couple miles west down the line, UP holds down the grade at a walking pace, waiting for the all-clear signal from CalFire. |
