Astarsa S.A.-built (under a General Motors license agreement) GT22 #9047 ready to leave Olavarría Yard with northbound freight. The unit was less than three years old, built in Argentina with EMD-supplied prime mover and main generator, and all other parts manufactured locally and assembled at Astarsa Shops in San Fernando, Buenos Aires. For those interested, the human being in the foreground is American visitor and railfan Richard Reiff, riding a passenger train to Bariloche as part of Trains Unlimited Tours' 1987 voyage to Esquel and Rio Gallegos, wisely making use of train's stop in Olavarría to inspect 9047's builder's plate just below the cabside number.
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
