Remarks & Notes |
45. The only train I will see on the Montana Rail Link on my 138 mile drive along MRL tracks on day 3 until I get to the Missoula yard. I did see a bunch of signs warning of mountain sheep and lone behold we actually saw a bunch of them by the road. We got out took some photos of them. I then went down by the tracks to see what view could be had and I spooked one in the brush. He ran out and up towards the road when I heard a thud and crash of breaking plastic. He was just hit by a car doing at least 60mph. My girlfriend sat in the truck along the road with it's flashers on and witnessed the horrific accident right in front of her. I ran to the road only to find a critically injured sheep and busted car parts. The lady that hit it never even slowed down or bothered to stop. I dispatched the sheep myself and left the area. How such a fun happy moment can turn so horrible so quickly. It was a long dark drive to Missoula where we spent the night. |
