| A northbound Amtrak Pacific Surfliner to Goleta passes the East Beach flood control channel of Laguna Creek. This cobble-lined stream channel was built by the Works Progress Adminstristration (WPA) in 1939, along with a nearby pump station (out of frame). Catching one of Amtrak's few P32s here is always a treat, as these trains are usually under the comand of F59PHIs. P32 #503 was delivered in December of 1991. |
